Why do you think David begins the Psalm with what can be known about God in creation and then spend the rest of the Psalm talking about how wonderful God’s Word is? | because it made him feel good Add Comment |
First notice the structure by following the action. One thing you should notice is that the verse breaks in the wrong place. Please note that chapter breaks and verse breaks were done by Robert Stephanus in the 16th century and he had no idea what he was doing and unfortunately they stuck. Verse 5 should begin with “In them he has set…”. If you look closely, you will notice that a person can sing the first line of the song and then the choir responds. This is repeated with both the leader and choir singing the last line together: “whose voice is not heard.” There is a middle part where the leader sings and the choir responds. Then there the final part which is a repeat of the first – leader, response, leader, response, both: “and there sin nothing hidden from its heat.” From this structure you can make out the meaning or point of this song. So what is the point of this song? | to be a good leader in his word Add Comment |
